Temperature

Your newborn’s temperature does not need to be taken regularly. However, if you have concerns that your infant is sick, you must take the temperature rectally. A consistent rectal temperature of greater than 100.5 in an infant less than 2 months is considered fever and needs to be seen by a doctor. DO NOT give an infant less than 2 months any Tylenol or Motrin.
