Sleep

Babies have varying sleep needs, and no two babies sleep exactly the same amount of time. Generally, most babies are awake in the late afternoon and early evening. Sleeping 20 out of 24 hours may be normal. Again, we are trying to promote good habits, so wake your baby during the daytime for her feeding schedule and continue to try and space out feeds over the night.

Your baby should sleep on his back on a firm mattress with no pillows, loose blankets, or other objects that might become entangled inside the crib (example ribbons, stuffed animals). Avoid locating the crib next to windows or under or over heating vents.
